Option price retrevial

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby mcijoh » Tue Mar 21, 2017 5:31 am

I have an options investment that has several legs (Iron Condor). How do I retrieve option prices for this investment. Do I need to put each leg in a separate investment? Right now Fund manager retrieves the underlying price even though I have the web server set to yahoo options.
I also have all legs in the same investment.

Hi mcijoh,

Yes, each option needs to be its own investment, with the appropriate symbol from Yahoo (Options). On Yahoo look up the underlying stock, and then click on the "Options" tab, and you'll see a listing of all the options. Record the appropriate symbol in your Fund Manager investment for each option.
