Powershares DWA ETF's not updating

Hi Mark,

In one of my portfolios I have 3 Power shares DWA ETF's but they are not updating, however I can see they are updating in Web News. Is this a Yahoo problem?

Hi pieterse,

Can you give me an example symbol that won't update? What quote server are you retrieving from? What quote module are you using (Help / About...)?

Power share symbols: PRN, PDP & DWAS.
Quote module 509.
Yahoo default server.

Hi Bob,

I looked at PRN. The plain "Yahoo" server is reporting a price for 12/6/16 of 50.14, and FM is getting this price updated. Their site is showing a current price, but it isn't being downloaded. Hopefully they will update this soon. If you want, you can change to use "Yahoo (Alternate)", which is correctly updating the current price being shown on their site. This server is much slower though, as it updates 1 price at a time.

Thanks for your response. Still not getting the price updates for the 3 ETFs I mentioned.
Is this a Yahoo problem or isn't it downloading in FM?

Hi Bob,

Are they not updating at all for you, or just for an older date? I just test retrieved PRN from Yahoo and it updated a price of 50.77 for 12/12/2016 (yesterday). Are you not able to get this?

How are you determining that you're not getting any updates at all? Here are all the things to check:

You should be able to get a price for 12/12/16 for PRN using the current quote module and the Yahoo server. You might try just retrieving the 1 price by right mouse clicking on it and choosing to retrieve the selected price.

Thanks. I've done everything you suggested. Verified the ticker, default server, etc. But still no updates for those 3 ETFs.
I can update the price going to Web news and manually enter the day closing price in the Performance report. Do you have any further thoughts about what's going on?

How exactly are you determining the price is not updating?

If you retrieve just this one investment, do you get an error message?
