Not working for two days. I thought maybe it was Yahoo but it must be a setting. Can you help?

Hi reddragon,

What quote module are you using? See "Help / About...". You should have 505.

What symbol are you attempting to retrieve from Yahoo (Historical) that won't retrieve?
Thanks,
Mark

Hi reddragon,

You'll need an updated quote module to retrieve from Yahoo. If you're using FM 2014 or FM 2016 use "Help / FM on the Web / Check for Updates..." and download the update when prompted.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi reddragon,

Did you install the new FM 2016 version? You have to install the new version before entering your license. Once you install the new version, enter your license as instructed in the license key email. You can verify your installed version and license status under "Help / About...". You can download the new FM 2016 version from our site here:

Mark,

Been having some erratic results from Yahoo historical with index data now.
Because of loss of free Bloomberg, I've been searching for some free replacements. Found ^RAFIHY and ^REIT. I was able to get 1 year for ^REIT but nothing (but current price) for ^RAFIHY. Several other indexes from Yahoo Historical I've been using for years seem to be updating OK, except for ^VALUA for which won't show beyond 7/8/16 (last date I downloaded for 2nd Qtry reports.

I'm on current Adviser version of FM and current quote module. Download efforts return FM Log entries as follows:

Retrieve Starting
Quote Module Version = 506
Retrieving from server: (YAHOO-HISTORICAL)
Requested Historical Retrieve Dates: 7/9/2016 - 10/10/2016
Requesting: "^VALUA"
Could not update any investments
WARNING: Server used but did not update any prices: (YAHOO-HISTORICAL)

Yahoo problem? Any thoughts?

Hi Elliot,

I looked up that quote on Yahoo, and they don't offer historical prices for ^VALUA

http://finance.yahoo.com/quote/%5EVALUA ... p=%5EVALUA

You can get this index (and a lot more) on Wall Street Journal (Historical). They have this under the symbol: VALUA

For more on using this server, see:

Mark
