OOP basis - ignore when sold out & bought back in

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby rjwerning » Thu Sep 01, 2016 7:03 am

I'd like to be able to look at my OOP basis for the current set of transactions on stocks. I have a few stocks that I had purchased and sold out of completely at some point in the past, then bought back in recently. But when I use the OOP Cost basis in reports it includes those transactions when I sold all my positions. What would be the proper way to set up my portfolio so those transactions aren't included?

Thank you,
Rich

Hi Rich,

There are both "current" and "historical" (or "inception") versions of the OOP fields. What you're looking for is the "current" version. So, for example, see the Custom report field:

Out of pocket basis (current)
Thanks,
