Default Cash: Share Balance / Market Value IMBALANCE

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby ThomasK » Tue Jul 26, 2016 12:51 pm

Hi Mark,

I accidentally screwed up my Default Cash account.

I was doing a Transfer Out BUT put in the shares as 10,000 but Market Value as 1,000!!

So, my default cash now shows a Market Value of 1/10th the Share Balance.

How do I correct this? Deleting the entry did nothing.

Thanks,
Thomas

Hi Thomas,

Check the price of your cash. In the Data Register, make sure all your closing prices are 1 under the data type of "Prices".
Thanks,
Mark

Yes, all are Price = 1.00
Every line has Share value = Total value.
Very odd, thus a bug? I just upgraded (and thus did a full :D l Backup)
Luckily, I just did a Restore, only cost a bit of time but you can see if it is indeed a bug.

Hi Thomas,

Can you show me the problem with some screen shots, or give some instructions to reproduce a problem? No matter what you record, the market value is always shares * price on that date. If you can show a screen shot of the issue, I can likely direct you to the source of the problem.
Thanks,
Mark
