Schwab Fee Import

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby crawfordn » Tue May 03, 2016 10:37 am

Mark, I've stumbled upon an odd glitch. When I import fees, whether mgmt, adr, wire and let it post automatically, for some reason it changes the cost basis of my default cash account. If I change the type of distribution from account fee to other, the basis change disappears. For the moment, any fee entries require a manual change of the distribution type. Many Thanks, as always. Hi Rick,

Fund Manager optionally adjusts the tax cost basis for "Account Fee" type of distributions. If you don't want this, you can turn it off. From within any report window choose "Options / Report Preferences... / Capital Gains" and turn off "Include Account Fees in Basis".
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks Mark. That should resolve the issue. I need to stop thinking I know this software as well as you do. Rick
