Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

I cannot retrieve transactions from my brokerage houses. I was able to retrieve prices and my Update says current. I think it might have to do with my changing the password on my wireless settings but I do not know how to relate this to Fund Manager. I checked to be sure Fund Manager is allowed through my Firewall.

Can you help?

Hi janfl133,

I suspect it is because you are using an old version, and don't have an updated transaction module. As brokers change, we sometimes need to make updates. We provide these updates for the last 2 major versions, which are current the 2014 and 2016 versions. You're using 12.x, so it is not receiving updates anymore. To test this, you can make a backup of your data, install the 2016 version, and then see if it is able to retrieve your transactions. Please do make a backup first, in case you choose not to upgrade, as the new 2016 version will save your data in a new file format that 12.x cannot read.

It worked on the 1st of March, 2016 so I do not think this is the problem. I work with about 5 brokerage houses and they all worked on the 1st and now they do not work.

Hi janfl133,

It sounds like maybe a firewall or some type of software like that may be blocking Fund Manager's access to the internet. Can you retrieve prices with Fund Manager? How about "Help / Fund Manager on the Web / Check for Updates...", does that get this same 12029 error?

Thanks for your help. I checked with my Internet Service Provider and was able to fix the password problem. I can now retrieve transactions, et al.
