Generic price imports

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby mli2001 » Fri Jan 22, 2016 7:12 am

Hi Mark
I am having the following issues using the generic price imports (Windows csv):
1. I have to use "mm/DD/yy" type of dates, the UD, or ED format does not work. Error message: the specified input format did not match any line in the imported file.
2. The program always omits dates from October to December. I am doing monthly prices and these three prices are missing every year.

The reason I have to do this is that the Bloomberg quote server doesn't give historical prices prior to 2011.

I am using the personal 2014 version.

Thanks

Hi mli2001,

Try viewing your CSV file in a text editor, like Notepad. If you're viewing it in Excel, it may format it differently when displaying. If you still have troubles, please email us a sample file and format string that you're having trouble with, and we can take a look. Often times just looking at the raw CSV file in a text editor will illustrate the problem.
Thanks,
Mark
