Bug, Maybe?

I add a new investment to a portfolio and enter the opening transaction. In the Price column--which normally shows the last market price of the investment--it contains the price of the opening transaction. I think this problem corrects itself after the next business day, so it's a minor inconvenience. It may or may not be worth addressing.

Hi moonlighter,
This is working as intended. When you enter a new transaction that has a price, like a buy/sell, and if there is no recorded closing price for that date already in your investment, FM records the transaction price as the current price for that date. You can verify all this in the Data Register. Look under the data type of "Prices" to see your recorded closing prices, which will be reflected in the "Prices" column of the Portfolio Editor. The Portfolio Editor always shows data for the current date, so look for the last recorded price on/before the current date.
