Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby joesmo » Fri Mar 02, 2012 2:43 pm

Hi Mark,
In downloading transactions from Scottrade option expirations are not making it into Fund Manager. Here is an example from the log file below. Am I doing something wrong?

- TRANSFER
- INVTRAN
- FITID (687283058)
- DTTRADE (20120123120000.000[-5:EST])
- MEMO (Option Expired: -200.0000 contracts of KGC 120121C00035000)
- SECID
- UNIQUEID (4969029AJ)
- UNIQUEIDTYPE (CUSIP)
- SUBACCTSEC (MARGIN)
- UNITS (-200)
- TFERACTION (OUT)
- POSTYPE (LONG)
- UNITPRICE (0)

Hi joesmo,

That transaction looks fine, and should make it into Fund Manager. Did you look for it in the Data Register under the data type of "Transactions (all)"? If it still won't import, you can email us the "ofxretr.txt" file, and we can test import it here, and see if there isn't some problem. It looks like it should import though. The ofxretr.txt file will be in the same directory as the xmldump.txt file, and is the raw OFX data received from Scottrade. The ofxretr.txt file will have your account number in it, so you can edit that, and then either email it to us or post it on the forum.
Thanks,
Mark
