Deleting a price

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby BradN » Thu Feb 23, 2012 9:57 am

Hi Mark,

A Scottrade import pulled in prices for 2 issues NMT PRC and NGO PRC for May 31, 2010, Memorial Day. I don't know how since there is not a corresponding SE1 file for that date.

After I delete those prices, will I have to come back and do it again if I have to import Global Prices, all dates sometime in the future?

Thanks,

Brad

Hi Brad,

If that price came from one of your .SE1 files, and you re-import that file with the date range settings set to all dates, then yes, it would update the price again. How are you determining there is not a SE1 file for that date? The filename doesn't matter, it is based off the date on the first header row in the SE1 file. If importing your SE1 files caused this price update, then it is probably in one of your SE1 files somewhere.

If you've imported these SE1 files already, you can just move them into an "archive" folder or something, so you're not re-importing them each time.
Thanks,
Mark
