Update P&L on closed transaction

I run a option write program and want to see my P&L on closed positions.
I have the short write and the cover in my Data register but cannot figure out the process to show the realized gain in my portfolio.
Also on my closed equity positions the same issue.
Can you help me

You can view this by selecting "Reports / Capital Gains..." and creating a Capital Gains report.

Awesome Mark but can I also show it in the sub portfolios on each position?
You and I did it yesterday but I screwed something up and have all the transactions in there but no final tally?

Hi swede2180,

Are you trying to get this to display in the Portfolio Editor window? That is the window with all your sub-portfolios on the left, and the contents of the selected sub-portfolio listed on the right. If so, you can customize which fields are shown in the Portfolio Editor list view. Select "View / List Columns..." while you're viewing the Portfolio Editor window. There is no realized tax gain/loss exactly like the Capital Gains report, but you might want to look at "OOP Historical Gain" which shows you the total gain/loss over the life of that investment. There are many fields available to choose from for this list view.
