Restoring after updating IB SEC import

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby BradN » Mon Feb 20, 2012 10:03 am

Hi Mark,

I imported IB's SEC files and mistakenly applied the import to the master portfolio. As a result all of my TD accounts were corrupted (maybe since they both use the .SEC extension?).

I had backed up prior to the import. After restoring, I still cannot get the TD accounts back to their correct balances. What could I be doing wrong?

Thanks,

Brad

Hi Brad,

Did you double check the date modified of your backup file, to make sure you are restoring the one you are expecting? When you did the restore, did you choose to restore all the files? If you are restoring all the files, everything should be back to exactly how it was when you made that backup.
Thanks,
Mark

That was interesting. Everything is fine. My only explanation is that I somehow pulled the report on the wrong date. Thanks for the reply.
