stop retrieving prices for a security

I just realized that prices are still being retrieved for many obsolete investments in my portfolio (i.e., I no longer have positions in them and have no plan to open new ones, so I don't need the price history).

Is there any easy way to find and disable price retrieval for such investments? Or do I have to open the properties (in the portfolio editor) of every investment I have ever held, go to the Internet Retrieve tab of each, and uncheck Retrieve Price if it is set?

Hi cbenenax,

You can do it manually the way you've described, or you can have FM do it automatically for you by using "File / File Operations / Hide Sold Investments..." and when you run that, check the option to turn off price retrieve for sold investments. Please read the online help to understand how the date range settings in that dialog work, it can often cause confusion.
