Convertible Debenture

I purchased a debenture which had an option to convert it into common shares in the company. I excercised this option and was wondering how to handle this transaction in Fund Manager. My first thought was to treat it as a redemption and new investment. Is this the best approach?

Yes, that is the best approach. Treat the debenture as one investment, and the company as another.
