New options Tickers

Mark I am not able to retrieve anu options with the new ticker symbols. They worked for a few days but no longer. I am using the Yahoo server and have even gone to yahoo and copied the option ticker into the Fundmanager symbol. I finally made up a sample project with about five options in it and tried to do a price update and nothing was retrieved. Any ideas.

For example Kingross Gold March $17 Call symbol from Yahoo is
KGC100320C00017 when I go to yahoo finance and enter that I get the price but fundmanager will not update it.

Hi Jim,

A little while ago the regular "Yahoo" quote server stopped providing option quotes. We added a new server called "Yahoo (Options)". If you set your option investments to use this quote server they should retrieve okay. You can make this assignment under "Investment Properties... / Internet Retrieve". Also, make sure you have the latest quote module (414) by doing a "Help / FM on the Web / Check for Updates...".

Mark, I'm using FM 9.7 with module 414. I don't see a Yahoo(options) server, just Yahoo, Yahoo adjusted, Yahoo historical.

I need a way to update options pricing.

Hi Robert A,

The new server is only available in the 10.x versions. We maintain existing servers for the last 2 major versions (9.x and 10.x). Any new servers are only available in the most recent versions (10.x).
