I get signon invalid, error occured logging in
Then I get Failed to retrieve portfolio, Broker Fidelity Investements, Account number xxxxx, user id xxxxx

Hi arjaffer,

When you are logging into Fidelity UK, you are logging into their "web" server. The transaction retrieve feature uses their "OFX" (Open Financial Exchange) server. I'm not sure if the Fidelity OFX server supports UK accounts. It is possible they only support US accounts. If Fidelity UK has a different OFX server, we would be glad to add support for it, but we're not aware of one. You might contact Fidelity UK, and ask them for instructions for getting your transactions into portfolio management software. They may have a download that you can then import.
Thanks,
Mark

Hello Mark
Thanks for your prompt reply.
I will contact Fidelity UK and ask them about their OFX server
I am however able to download a csv file of all my holdings. But that does not include the fund symbols. It only has holding name, current price, units held, and value
Can I use that?

Hi arjaffer,

It sounds like that could be used to set up your initial positions, but going forward you'll want a file that has your actual buy/sell/distribution transactions. You can import a CSV file using the "Generic" transaction import. If possible, I'd see if you couldn't download your actual transactions, instead of your current positions.
Thanks,
Mark

I have been a customer of Fidelity UK for several years and have repeatedly asked them to provide a download of transactions and Distributions. The nearest we have got to this is a CSV file which could be mapped/imported into Fund Manager but it contains very little information.

Fidelity provide ZERO transaction support for distributions as they aggregate the cash into one Bank Payment across all portfolios on a per fund basis.

So if you have invested in the same fund in PEP's, ISA's in several years it is impossible to record the details in fund manager from their reports or website. I have complained about this also but got nowhere.

It seems that Fidelity UK is a very poor relation of its American parent with little investment in the reporting services I would expect them to provide to sophisticated investors
