Newcrest prices wrong prior to 30/8/10

I have discovered that FM is picking up the wrong price for NCM.ax prior to 30th Aug. On and after 30th Aug the price is $36 AUD and higher. On 27Aug and earler it is $4.38 or thereabouts. I am getting my prices from Yahoo. I have tried deleting all my price data and retrieving it again but no lchange. I have even tried getting the data from another server but none seem to have Newcrest Mining from the ASX.

I just tested retrieving NCM.AX from Yahoo (Historical), and it seemed to retrieve properly. It retrieved prices in the range of 36-38 from 8/30/10 through 9/3/10. It retrieved prices in the range of 4 for 8/27/10 and earlier. This is the same as is showing on Yahoo's website. Are you saying this is wrong data, or you're not getting it retrieved like this? It does seem to be retrieving, as shown by Yahoo. For example, look here:

It does seem odd that the price jumped that much, but I don't know, is that wrong? If so, it is a problem with the data on Yahoo's site, as that is how it is displaying.

Amazing. Your software is correct but Yahoo.com is wrong. I even double checked on Google Finance and the ASX which are correct. How do I go and tell Yahoo they are wrong? Is there another server I can use to retrieve historical stock prices for ASX listed stocks?

I didn't follow how Fund Manager is right, and Yahoo is wrong? Fund Manager appears to be getting the same data as reported by Yahoo, so they should be the same?

I don't know of another server offering historical ASX quotes.

You can contact Yahoo by pressing "Help" and then "Contact Us" on their website, and follow along the prompts to submit your question/comment.

Yes, Fundmanager and Yahoo are the same but Yahoo has the wrong historical price. The historical prices in Google Finance and the ASX are clearly different to Yahoo.

I will contact Yahoo.
