Fund price update

I am new to Fund Manager and seem to be retrieving the updated prices, however, I am not sure where the dat files are being kept. Also the prices never update in the Portfolio Editor. How do I get the prices to update?

Hi venegringo,

You specify the filename and location of your .dat investment files when you create them. The default location is "My Documents \ Fund Manager", but you can save them anywhere. There are several ways to find their name/location once they've been created. One way is to add "Location" and "Filename" to the Portfolio Editor window, using "View / List Columns...".

Which field are you looking at in the Portfolio Editor that doesn't update? The Portfolio Editor data is shown for the current date (of your computer). Are you retrieving prices? The price will only update when you retrieve prices.
