Cost - Price Graph type question

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager graphs.

Hi Mark,

For the Cost - Price Graph type, in the help:
The historical out of pocket cost is calculated by adding all purchases, subtracting all redemptions, and subtracting all received distributions. This sum is then divided by the total number of shares owned to obtain the out of pocket cost for each share.

Do you confirm that the total number of shares owned used as the denominator is the total number of shares currently owned (as with the current out of pocket cost)?

HI Djobydjoba,

Yes, that is correct. The value for "total_shares_owned" is the number of shares owned on the date being plotted. It is the same number of shares for both historical/current modes.
Thanks,
Mark
