Buy Marker not Shown on cost-price graph

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager graphs.

Postby Matt » Mon Nov 20, 2023 3:49 am

Hi Mark,

I am at a loss to understand why in one particular investment (of dozens) only one of three buy transactions in the data register shows up on the cost-price graph. To make things even more confusing the value in the Legend text seems to add up of two of the three transactions. I can send you a screen print if that is helpful....

Postscript:
Looking into this further I now realise that this repeats in other recent purchases, redemptions or dividends. Some show up as markers, others don't. It seems it hasn't to do with global settings but individual entries in the data register....

Thanks M

Hi Matt,

Could the problem maybe be these transactions are on a weekend, and you're not plotting weekends? Double check your "weekend" setting at:

Options / General Preferences... / Other / Weekend Starts On

and make sure it is "Saturday". This means Saturday/Sunday are considered your weekend. Make sure none of your transactions are recorded on Saturday or Sunday.
Thanks,
Mark

Yes, you were spot on, as usual. I've changed it and all the missing markers reappeared miraculously.

Thanks you so much
