Portfolio Value Report error

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager reports.

Postby ishcabible » Tue Dec 08, 2009 10:07 am

when i create the portfolio value report there is one large error. the accounts list each holding. but at the bottom of the report where the accounts are listed with the net value there are 4 individual investments also listed, thus increasing the total value of the report. for example, i own BPL in one account. in the report, BPL is listed as an investment. but at the bottom of the report, where each account is one line item, BPL is listed separately three times, thus increasing the total value of the report.

thanks,

Hi Joe,

It sounds like you have this investment located in both the sub-portfolio for the account, and also 3 times in the top level sub-portfolio. Open up your Portfolio Editor window, and select the top level sub-portfolio on the left. Look on the right, and you will see the contents of this sub-portfolio. If there are un-wanted investments in this sub-portfolio, you can close them. Just select them, and hit the "Delete" key on your keyboard.
Thanks,
Mark
