custom properties (Unrealized %Gain?)

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager reports.

Postby JeanneMarie » Wed Jun 29, 2022 4:20 pm

In my Portfolio Editor, I've got Basis, Unrealized Gain, and Unrealized %Gain.

In a report, I can get the first two but I cannot find the %Gain in the Custom Settings dialog.

This seems odd. And there are other instances where the same field has a different name in a different corner of the program. So I figured I'd ask. Should I be able to find this among Custom Settings?

Thanks.

Hi JeanneMarie,

Actually, that percentage isn't available as a built-in field for the Custom report, but if you're using the Pro or Advisor version you can define a field with the equation:

100.0 * Taxunrlzgain_Assigned / Taxbasis_Assigned

to include it.
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks, Mark. Now I can stop wasting time searching.

No, I don't foresee moving up to the higher level versions. But I'm used to dragging *.csv files out to Excel to add some little computation or to slice and dice the data in a way that is not available as it stands. No prob.

Cheers!
