Is it possible to calculate the PE of a portfolio weighted by investment amount.

Yes, you would use a Custom Investment Property. We have a very similar FAQ on tracking expense ratio here:

You would use the same procedure for tracking P/E ratio, and summing it at the portfolio level in a weighted manner.
