What is Hot Highlight?

What is the "hot highlight" item on the Report Preferences/General/Display menu? I don't see any difference in a report.

Hi elliots,

It controls the display when you move your cursor over line items in a report. When this option is on there is a bounding box displayed around the item under your cursor.
