Position-traded money market fund

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager reports.

Postby dlevy » Thu Oct 17, 2019 9:19 am

I have been using a position-traded (in addition to a sweep) money-market fund. These positions are taking up an increasing proportion of the report on open lots. Is there a way I can either (a) suppress these from the report altogether; or (b) have them collapse to a single row (without collapsing other open lots)?

With thanks,

David

Hi David,

I'm not familiar with a position traded money market, but you can probably use the "Filter..." settings in the Open Lots report to exclude them. You can exclude by investment type, symbol, etc.
Thanks,
Mark

Perfect. I had not dug deeply into report filters.

A position-traded money market fund is a money fund with NAV kept at 1.00, but is not available for a cash sweep--you have to trade in and out of it. Because transactions are less frequent, the fund pays at a higher (often substantially higher) rate than a sweep fund.
