Hello.
I'm a retail investor with funds in 401(k), IRA, and brokerage accounts. FM offers such granular and comprehensive functionality, I'm not sure what reports to create or how to do so. A few reports I can think of that may make sense:
- Realized and unrealized gains, plus dividend income, annualized (Does this report type have an official name?)
- Dividend income, monthly/annually/variable time frame
- Performance against a benchmark index
- Report showing short/long term capital gains and losses for tax purposes
Are there any other reports that might make sense?
Fidelity offers a report they describe this way:
"Your Personal Rate of Return is calculated with a time-weighted formula, widely used by financial analysts to calculate investment earnings. It reflects the results of your investment selections as well as any activity in the plan account(s) shown. There are other Personal Rate of Return formulas used that may yield different results. Remember that past performance is no guarantee of future results."
Is that a report I can replicate?
Thanks.
