User-Defined Field Equation?

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager reports.

Postby ACuriousInvestor » Tue Dec 11, 2018 6:03 pm

I would like to calculate the number of days (or months, years, etc.) until a CD or bond matures and capture that output in a column next to each security in a custom report.

I have the maturity date of the security stored in a user-defined field, but I'm having trouble with writing the correct equation. Is there a way to write an equation that will calculate the difference between that date and the report date?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello ACuriousInvestor,

The equation for what you describe would be:

Maturity_date-ENDDAYS()

or

CIP_date-ENDDAYS()

The first one is if you're using the "Maturity Date" in the "Income" tab where you choose "Bond Interest" as your income style. The second one is if you're using a custom investment property to store this date. In that example "CIP_date" is the label of the specific custom investment property storing the date.
Thanks,
Mark
