Reports- Closing Price of a share

In Reports do we have any field as

Closing Price of the day.

I need this field to be included in my report whether I did a transaction on the Report date or Not. What I get is an Interpolated price or average price or so.

It would help me compare fields if I can just have Closing Price of the scrips on a selected date in my report.

Hi jhamac,

Yes, you can get closing price added to your custom report. See the "Share price (ending)" and "Share price (beginning)" fields. Other reports also include share price, like the Portfolio Value report.

The issue I am facing with these suggested field Share price( ending/beginning) is they don't display a data if you have not done a transaction on the date used in the report.

Is there a way around? Or I am missing something?

Hi Rajesh,

These share price fields will always display a price. Are you looking in a "Custom" report, or maybe somewhere else? If a share price is not recorded for the date in question, one will be interpolated, based on surrounding recorded closing prices. You can view/add/edit your recorded closing share prices in the Data Register with the "Prices" data type selected.
