Portfolio Editor

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby Glenn2 » Thu Dec 31, 2009 10:32 pm

I want to use a number of columns in the portfolio editor but find that they do not all fit on the one screen. When I scroll to the right I can no longer see the share/stock symbol/name for the row. Can I freeze the left most columns? Can I have multiple layouts of the Portfolio editor with each layout having different column headings? It seems that every folder in the portfolio uses the same set of columns. Is this changeable?

Hi Glenn2,

The Portfolio Editor columns are the same, no matter what sub-portfolio you are looking at. You can of course change them, but whatever you select will be shown consistently for all sub-portfolios. Use "View / List Columns..." to make your column selections.

Maybe you want to re-size some of the columns, so you can fit more on your screen? You can move the vertical divider that separates the left/right halves of the Portfolio Editor, so you'll have more room on the right for columns. You can also re-size any column by clicking/dragging on the edge of the column header.
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks for the prompt reply. It was not what I was hoping to hear but at least I know what the sw can do.
