cannot download historical quotes

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Hi,

I'm having trouble finding a log file that shows me which historical quotes have downloaded and which have not. Invariably when I download historicals, I get the "one or more servers unable to download prices" message. And, when I run my investment performance report, all my opening prices are interpolated, no matter what setting I put in for interpolation. I can't tell, without manually going out to the web holding by holding, whether my opening prices are correct for the starting date of the report. I am finding sometimes that they are not correct. How can I figure out, by investment holding (not by server type) what has downloaded for historicals? The "price" csv log file isn't helping me out ... many thanks

Hi fez,

The best place to look at this is in the Data Register, with the "Prices" data type selected. This will show you all your recorded closing prices. If a price is showing an asterisk next to it (interpolated) in a report, then you don't have a closing price recorded for that investment for the associated date.
Thanks,
Mark
