As you may recall, I'm converting over from MS Money. Is there any way to get news items/notifications within FM? Money is linked to MSN and when a news item occurs it is shows up in the portfolio summary. How do most of your users handle this?

Also, I'm using Pro version on trial, want to take a look at the Advisor verson. Can you just download, and how do you know time remaining on trial?

Hi jnewton,

FM isn't real strong on linking with news, but it does have some basic functionality for this. From within an investment based graph, you can right mouse click on a graph, and choose "Web News...". This will open a browser window to online news about this investment. You can customize what URL you go to for news under "Options / General Preferences... / Menus / Web News URL".

Yes, you can just download any version you want to trial. Just install it right over top of your current version. You can easily switch back the same way if you decide to stick with Pro.

The trial is based on number of times the program is started (not days). You get 60. After about 45 you'll start getting a warning, but can continue on until 60. There is no method to show you the remaining starts. All starts from any version count the same.
