Question about interaction with the registry.

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby Juergen » Sat Oct 24, 2009 6:01 pm

In my messing around with V10, I have made several portfolios and a host of subportfolios together with a lot of imports.

Since, so far, everything has been on a test basis, I am going to delete several folders, perhaps all of them, that contain the respective *.mm4 and *.dat files.

Does the registry know of these files?

Can I, when I go cold turkey, use the same *.mm4 filenames again?

I believe there is no problem with this, but I need to make sure.

Thanks.

Hi Juergen,

This would be fine to do. The only thing the registry knows about your filenames are that it does remember the name of the most recently opened portfolio files, so as to show these at the bottom of your "File" menu.
Thanks,
Mark
