Got a problem

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Dear Mark,

Here is my problem: I updated prices for my portfolio this evening. Everything was fine. I then closed the portfolio by mistake. When I reopened it the numbers were off. The portfolio value was accurate, but the cost changed. I ran a portfolio performance report, and those numbers are correct (both the cost and price numbers). What do I need to do to fix this problem?

Hi Brent,

Where are you viewing the cost? Is it in a graph, report, or portfolio editor? What cost figure are you looking at? How are you calculating that it is incorrect?

The Portfolio Performance report does not have a cost or price column...?

I am looking at the portfolio value cost graph. The value number is current, but the cost is not. I run a report (portfolio performance) and the invested amount has always been the same as the cost on the value cost graph. Now it is different by over $5,000 dollars. I can't figure out why.

For some reason when I opened the portfolio back up I unclicked the historic cost feature. Problem solved.
