Removing old Portfolios

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby poppylou » Tue Sep 15, 2009 5:06 am

Hi Mark,

When I open Fund Manager, it opens as fund manager personal.
I then go to file, and at the bottom I have portfolio choices that I can open.
Some actually have the same name but do open up differently.
I only wnat to show one so someone else would not be confused if opening.

Can I remove the other choices from view?

thanks

Hi poppylou,

At the bottom of the File menu your most recently opened portfolios are shown. Each one is unique in terms of full path/filename of the portfolio file (*.mm4). You may have the same named file, but in different folders (which can be confusing...). There is no mechanism built into FM to erase this list, but you can do it manually from within 'regedit', by going here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Beiley Software\Fund Manager\CurrentVersion\Recent Portfolio List

Delete all the values inside this key while Fund Manager is not running.
Thanks,
Mark
