ROI Versus TWR help description

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Hi Mark, Can you see the attached snippet from FM help, most likely i am interpreting this incorrectly, would you not have higher ROI if you invested more during down periods versus up periods. In other words would you not get a better return ROI if you buy more during low periods, assuming the price goes up in future. Thanks

Hi divinest,

You understand the idea correctly, but the documentation was worded poorly, and in a confusing manner. What we were trying to say is that if you had larger sums of money invested while the market was moving up (not buying when it was up), that would be good for ROI.

I've taken a stab at fixing the wording to be more clear. Please reload the Yield Calculations documentation page, and see if that isn't more clear.
Thanks,
Mark
