General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

I'm getting a fail on the new release. When it (fundmn2016p15.exe) starts to install it says it cannot open the fm.exe file and asks to abort. If I don't it fails again a couple files ahead.

Never seen this before.

Hi RonB,

Are you running it as a user with Admin permissions? Where are you installing it to? Do you have write permission there?

Yes on the Admin privs. It was installing on my Win7 laptop to the default location where it has always installed. I went and updated the install on my Win10 desktop and that went quick and flawlessly. I'm rebooting the laptop now and will try again and report back here.

Mark, seems like I had a false alarm. After rebooting the Win7 laptop the update installed over the old one fine. Normally the update says it wants to close the old FM to update and then it goes ahead and updates. I'm guessing that maybe something kept my FM.exe open and that caused the update to fail initially. I had tried it 3 times before posting my message.
