General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby montaigne » Wed Jul 19, 2017 6:15 am

Hello,

When I open my portfolio, I have this message:
Other error reading portfolio

Then the next message is:
Could not open portfolio.

I have been using fund manager for 10 years and it is the first time I encontered this message.

Is there any specific operation to do to recover my portfolio ?

Thanks for your help.

Best regards.
Artus.

Hi Artus,

You'll need to restore a backup of your portfolio file (*.mm4). Fund Manager makes automatic backups for you. To find where they are stored, look in "Options / General Preferences... / Data". To restore your portfolio file, use "File / Restore..." and pick your most recent backup. In the dialog that comes up, select the portfolio file, and choose the options to restore the selected item only and to the original location.
Thanks,
Mark
