Adding a custom property to multiple securities

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby Sterling25 » Tue Jun 27, 2017 4:53 pm

I have created a custom property. I would like to put the information in for each of my individual securities. I know how to do this on an individual basis. But I was hoping there was a way to create a csv file and import the information all at once or at least by account. Can you let me know how to do this? Thank you.

Hi Sterling25,

We don't currently support importing custom investment properties for existing investments. If you're creating new investments, you can import these custom properties with the generic transaction import and the CIP01-CIP10 import keys. These only apply for newly created investments though. If you're using the Advisor version you can use "Edit / Symbol List..." and edit the custom investment properties on a per-symbol basis, instead of a per-investment basis.
Thanks,
Mark
