General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Upon exit from FM, I get the titled error message showing it is trying to create a folder in c:\user\carl\Documents\Fund Manager\autoback

I don't know why this path is being selected since my FM director is set to m:\Fund Manager

Hi schwarcz,

This path is set at: "Options / General Preferences... / Data". Just make sure it is set to a valid folder where you have write permission.
Thanks,
Mark

As I stated, the data directory is m:\Fund Manager. I have full privs in that directory. Why is it not going against that directory?

The error you're getting is not related to the data directory. It is related to the automatic backup directory, which you can set under ""Options / General Preferences... / Data".
Thanks,
Mark
