Moving from Evaluation v8.x to Purchase v9.x

I have an evaluation copy of v8.8 installed and now plan to purchase v9.x. What sequence of download/install should I follow in order to assure that my v8.8 data is not lost?

Hi Bob,

Thanks for your purchase plans. Just download and install 9.1 right over your current 8.8 installation. Do not uninstall 8.8. The first time you start 9.1 it will ask you for permission to change the file formats, and warn you the data will no longer be compatible with older versions. Just say "Yes to All" to this prompt.

Mark -- just purchased my license key for 9.1. I do have some modifications that I want to make in my v8.8 data prior to making the upgrade transfer. I'm not sure how close I'm getting to my evaluation use limit for 8.8 -- will the 9.1 key keep 8.8 running until I'm ready to do the upgrade?

No, the 9.x and 8.x licenses are separate. I've just emailed you a 8.x license you can use.
