File Transfer

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby Jeff47 » Fri Apr 22, 2016 1:17 pm

While we were away this winter from our home computer, FM transactions were posted to our laptop. Both laptop and Home are W10 with same version of FM. "One Drive" apparently hasn't assured duplicity of these files and portfolios on my two systems, so I have attempted to copy everything from the laptop to the home system. But the same portfolio (eg. Total 123115 FinalA.mm4) on the Home system is not reflecting the same data as the correct files on the laptop. I've tried several ways of copying: the folders (doesn't work), and then the detail within the folders with the same result.
I'm sure there's an easy answer, but I sure can't figure it out. Help?

Hi Jeff B.,

Use the backup/restore functionality to transfer all the data. We have detailed instructions here:
