General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Hi:
I am a new user and importing a portfolio went well but I am at a loss to see if I can import the fields of an investment's properties, particularly income related, from an online source. Items like dividend frequency, etc. Are these items that need to be entered by hand?
Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott,

Unfortunately, yes, those income properties aren't available for automatic retrieval or import. You would have to enter them by hand if you want to utilize those.

The Asset Type and Sector information can be retrieved using "Edit / Internet Retrieve / Asset Type or Sectors...".

If you are retrieving a new account from your broker some basic information is retrieved from the broker, like name/symbol/cusip/investment type.
Thanks,
Mark
