MISSING ISSUE DATE

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby JeanneMarie » Fri Oct 24, 2014 10:31 am

I'm having trouble finding an issue date on some Treasury STRIPS (some quite old)--for importing Bond Frequency. I think I can make an educated guess. But can you advise what this is used for? I know there is a cash flow report and some analysis of rate of return. Anything else I should be aware could be compromised?

I think this info is not find-able, but any other suggestions welcome.

Thanks,

Jeanne

Hi Jeanne,

The bond's issue date is only needed when you have a payment frequency set to "At Maturity". It is needed in this case to know how long the bond has been paying interest, and what the interest payment would need to be at maturity.
Thanks,
Mark
