Issue for Canadian users

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

I spoke with TDW. As ridiculous as it sounds, there is no way to download transactions in any standard format. The CSR I spoke to helpfully suggested I review the PDF of each transaction confirmation and manually enter them.

That is unfortunate. Thanks for sharing the information.
Thanks,

Update to this and "Exporting from TD Waterhouse".

Issue was that TD (other Canadian banks?) did not allow for transaction data to be exported until their 2016 update of WebBroker. In this new update you can export to a CSV!

Active Traders having to do a whack of data entry and downloading a CSV is of course the way to go. Some data manipulation in Excel might be warranted but easy enough.

That said, I use the "active trader platform" which is a 3rd party platform used by most brokerages. Many benefits to it so please look into it.

I am successfully exporting from Active Trader to a CSV and using Generic Import with Fund Manager. There are a few niggling monthly transactions that I update manually once I get the actual statements.

Message me if you need a hand.
