copying and pasting transaction

sometimes I've noticed a strange problem: if I copy and paste a transaction linked to a cash account, sometime happens that both transaction are linked to a SINGLe transaction in cash account.
Where I'm wrong?

It could be that when you paste the transaction you are not checking the option to automatically record the corresponding cash account transaction. Notice on the dialog that comes up when pasting, this is an option you can turn on or off. If you've turned off this dialog, go to "Options / General Preferences... / Other", and turn on "Prompt Before Pasting Prices/Transactions".
