bulk close investments

Hi Arjan,
There is a way to bulk "hide", but not bulk "close". (See "File / File Operations / Hide Sold Investments...) Typically it is best to hide, and not close, so that your historical records still include all your previously sold securities. Here are a couple options: 1) Upgrade to the Professional version where you can have up to 2,000 investments. 2) To close investments you haven't used for a while, and no longer own, run a "Custom" report with the fields: Latest Transaction Date Shares (ending) and sort by Latest Transaction Date so you can quickly find investments you haven't traded in a while, and that own 0 investments. Turn on "View / Hidden Investments" so you'll see all your investments. To close an investment from this report, right mouse click on it, and choose "Close Investment". If you look at the properties of your top-most sub-portfolio in the Portfolio Editor you can quickly see how many total open investments you have.
