Mutual Fund name and symbol change

Hi Mark,

I need to change the name and symbol of one of my mutual funds. Is this best done in Properties and will this automatically change the name of the DAT file or do I have to rename the DAT file? I use the symbol for all my DAT files names.

Hi pieterse,

Yes, you would change the name and symbol under the "Investment Properties..." dialog. This alone will not change the filename. The filename is independent of the properties. If you would like to keep the filename in sync with your symbol, then in the Portfolio Editor, select this investment, and choose "File / Save Investment As..." and give it the name you want.
