Saving Portfolios

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby sinouye » Fri Feb 04, 2011 10:19 am

I have created an "All Portfolios" Portfolio. Under this, I would like to see 3 different entities, personal, company 1 and company 2. There will be separate brokerage, bank, etc. accounts under each company. Is there any substantive reason to save each one as a separate portfolio or just save everything under the "All Portfolios"?

Hi sinouye,

It is usually best to only have 1 portfolio"file". This is the .MM4 file. Create all your accounts as sub-portfolios under this one portfolio file. So, just save everything under your one "All Portfolios" file.
Thanks,
Mark
