Backup Problems

I have just moved FM and my data to another computer. I have been able to get FM to recognize the new site of my data. However, I have been unable to get FM to back up my data. I want to backup to another disk for greater safey, but FM does not recognize the new location.

I have tried using the Backup system in FILE>Backup but FM does not see the new location and cannot find, of course, the old location.

What can I do to force FM to recognize the new location for backup purposes?

Hi Johnreid,

What specifically do you mean by "FM does not recognize the new location"? What command are you using, what error message comes up, or what is going wrong?

When you backup using "File / Backup..." you can browse anywhere on your computer, and save the backup wherever you want.

When you use the "automatic" backup FM writes it to the location you specify at "Options / General Preferences... / Data".
